Prof. Dr. Sven Behnke, Jörg Stückler

Lab in block from Feb. 21st to March 18th, 2011
We still accept participants.

Pre-meeting: Wed., Feb. 2nd, 13 c.t., in room N907.

In the lab, students will develop software modules for our domestic service robots Cosero and Dynamaid, which compete in the RoboCup@Home League.
The main tasks for such robots are:
* Robust navigation in indoor environments
* Object manipulation
* Intuitive multimodal interaction with the user.

In the lab, the students will work in small groups.

In the seminar, we will review the state-of-the-art in robust indoor navigation, dextrous manipulation, and intuitive human-robot interaction, targeted for domestic service robot applications.

The course is a good preparation for writing a thesis in the Autonomous Intelligent Systems group.

Active participants will have the opportunity to join our RoboCup team NimbRo.

Prerequisites

- Good programming skills in C/C++ or some other object-oriented programming language.

- Knowledge in robotics, artificial intelligence, or machine learning is helpful.
